i didn’t post yesterday because i really didn’t eat much worth mentioning. some leftovers… a macro bar…. some hummus & pita chips… chickpea salad (with TONS of tumeric)… i snacked. i don’t even think i ate a whole meal. the pain is still unbearable and i’m just not that hungry. 😦


  • one cup of french press coffee (rice milk / vegan sugar)
  • 5 pita chips w/ sun dried tomato hummus (sabra brand)


i love millet!

a friend (probably one of the only followers of this blog) recommended that i give veganomicon another try… as i flipped through it a few days ago, searching for recipes, i realize i did try quite a few recipes from it years ago. they were okay… i think i just don’t love the layout of the book. and the small font. i dunno. it’s just not my favorite cookbook. i LIKE it… but there are so many other BETTER ones. that’s all. so this week i’m making all recipes from veganomicon. 😀


  • remaining mexican millet
  • jerk asparagus (ground ginger, garlic powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cayenne pepper, thyme, white pepper & olive oil in 400 degree oven for 15 minutes)

every time i open this one kitchen cabinet, my spices (which are neatly stacked on top of each other) dive into the sink. today i finally resolved the situation by relocating the spices to a drawer. how fun is this!?!?!? 😉

    I agree, the layout with Veganomicon isn't great, that's why it took me about a year to try anything from it! The Baja grilled tacos are YUMMY! nom nom nom so are the Scalloped Potatoes.
