smoothie challenge days 15-17

Day 15:

so many moons ago (october 2011 to be exact!) i stumbled upon an awesome vegan friendly restaurant in buffalo, new york where i discovered the best smoothie in my life. i was obsessed and determined to recreate it. today, i did just that.

the original smoothie at merge consisted of apple juice, coconut milk, blueberries, lemon, cinnamon, ginger and maple syrup. i added a frozen banana and some fresh kale. instead of apple juice, i blended the entire apple. this smoothie was amazing. tasted just like the original. i’m in love. i recommend this to any smoothie enthusiast!

  • fresh blueberries
  • green apple
  • juice of one lemon

  • ginger
  • kale
  • 1 frozen banana
  • coconut milk
  • maple syrup

Day 16:

i had leftovers from last nights amazingness. added some more coconut milk and was good to go. no need to make an entire new smoothie!

Day 17:

somehow in my morning stupor i forgot to take a picture. i did have a smoothie though!

  • frozen pineapple

this was another winner. although now all i want to do is drink that blueberry concoction i had the past two days! for inspiration, i’m going to attempt to try all the smoothie recipes from the challenge this week. click here for more info!
