vegancation day 6

tomorrow i’m returning my rental car so i ventured over to whole foods in oakland to stock up on snacks & water because i’ll be barting it for the remainder of my trip. i grabbed some berries, green apples, bagels, daiya cream cheese (what? we don’t have it in florida yet!), some bolani pumpkin wraps & pesto, & bottled water. just in case the weather gets ugly (not a chance) and / or i don’t feel like walking somewhere. i was such a good little vegan. i refrained from purchasing the 6 pack of posh donuts. see? i do have willpower. pfffffft. (right!) but in all seriousness, i didn’t buy them. however, tomorrow is national donut day… so we shall see.

my friend marcella came over for a one on one yoga session. she recently got her yoga certification and she’s an awesome instructor! it was so great to have a yoga session in the living room! so cool. check out her facebook page – she’s located in the east bay if anyone out there needs a great *vegan* yoga instructor! after our awesome session (she kicked my butt) i toasted up some bagels and tried out the daiya cream cheese. whole foods only had the strawberry in stock so i had grabbed some sprouted cinnamon raisin bagels instead of the everything variety i usually enjoy. the cream cheese was amazing. not sure that i’d buy strawberry again but i can’t wait to try the original and chive & onion. mmmmm. hopefully florida will start carrying them soon.

decided to venture out and enjoy the day… strolled over to piedmont for some timeless coffee. i had a book to start reading and some crochet work to finish up! 🙂 timeless is the perfect spot for that…

i had plans to attend a friends art opening in the haight district so marcella drove over the bay bridge with me to san francisco. we stopped in herbivore for a quick dinner before heading to the gallery. i was craving the soy chicken shawarma like you wouldn’t believe. and it totally hit the spot. mmmmm. so good. i love herbivore!

i also ordered a veggie macaroni soup (soup of the day) because it was F U H – R E E Z I N G in san francisco and we were NOT dressed for it at all. 😦

the art opening was several blocks away from where we parked so we had a nice brisk walk to burn off the calories we inhaled! i love city life. walking is goooooooooood.
